Water Protectors of Milwaukee and Human Equality Love Project are hosting an 20 hour street medic training in Milwaukee Friday, April 6th – Sunday, April 8th.

“We are here to help liberation movements sustain themselves by providing them with emotional & physical first aid & aftercare— emphasizing self-care, sharing of knowledge, and mutual aid.”- Rosehip Medic Collective

We are VERY excited to be able to bring this training to Milwaukee! Our main goal for this training is to train people to run as street medics with the Forward Action Medic- WI team.

We ask that if you are not interested in joining the WI Forward Action Medic team that you wait to register until the first week of April. There is only a small group of active street medics and in order for this team to be successful we need additional medics!!
We will be doing additional street medic and affinity group trainings starting in summer, so there will be more opportunities to take these trainings!

This 20-hour training covers basic first aid skills and prepares you to help others stay safe and healthy at protests. It will also prepare you to meet health needs as part of a team in your organization, in your community, or as a member of Forward Action Medics, so that activists and communities can stay well and stay in the streets.

This training is rooted in street medics’ history of sharing first aid skills as a form of self-defense for our communities.
